Of all the many tragedies of Hollywood, the one surrounding the gorgeous Carole Landis is one of the more poignant. First, here’s a brief selection of pics:
Yowzer. Excellent legs. One of my favorite pics of her, unsurprisingly, is this one:
Her most famous statement had to do with being an actress:
“I have no intention of ending my career in a rooming house, with full scrapbooks and an empty stomach.”
She didn’t. Finding that her career was slipping away, and after a succession of failed marriages and love affairs, Carole Landis committed suicide.
She was 29.
