There’s always a danger, when I start sighing over the 1960s, that some of my younger Readers may just consign me to the Old Fart Category.
I don’t care. The 1960s gave us some wretched excess, and to be sure, probably started the slippery slope towards the licentious hedonism we have today.
But the 1960s also gave us Barbara Parkins.
And I think the 1960s was probably the last decade when photographers used b&w pics to their fullest effect:
So yeah, there were hippies and such back then. But let’s not throw out the baby, especially this baby, with the bathwater.
