If ever there was “a life untimely ended”, it would be that of gorgeous Carole Lombard.

Even in still pics, you can see her energy, and sexiness.

Yikes.

To my mind, however, one of the greatest tragedies was what her death did to her husband, Clark Gable, who took years to recover from her death (and some say he never did). Hardly surprising, really.
