Browning BPR (.22 LR)

I had no idea that this gun was ever made: it’s a pump-action rifle, in .22 LR, and looks unmistakably Browning:

Browning made this lovely little thing only from 1977 until 1982, and the decision to withdraw it from circulation can only have been made by a combination of slow sales and cost of manufacture. It wasn’t on looks, and I bet the mechanics are as sound as a bell. The receiver is grooved to handle scope rings, so drilling and tapping is unnecessary.

Second-hand (as this one is, from Collectors), it will set you back around $400.

If you want a pump-action .22 rifle that’s a little different, a little more interesting, get this one, or one exactly like it.

If I don’t get it first, that is.
