Okay, I’ve been suckered into responding to the question:
Name your top 10 female singers who both look and sound sexy.
Not an easy question. There are several who look great, but sound like nothing (Lita Ford, call your office), while there are others who sound like an angel, but don’t turn my crank visually (eg. Aretha Franklin). So we have to make compromises.
In no specific order, then:
1. Grace Slick
2. Kate Bush
3. Aimee Mann (ex-’Til Tuesday)
4. Belinda Carlisle (and the Go-Gos)
5. K.T. Oslin
6. & 7. Ann and Nancy Wilson
(and don’t say anything about Ann’s weight “problem")
8. Catherine Zeta-Jones (in Chicago)
9. Michelle Pfeiffer (in The Fabulous Baker Boys, singing “Makin’ Whoopee")
10. David Bowie
