Enviro-Boy must be visiting England:

It’s time to pull out the winter warmers - or better still, stay indoors. Blizzards and snow showers are forecast across the country this weekend as temperatures plummet below zero. The Met Office says wind chill could push temperatures as low as minus 10c (14f) in parts of Scotland and North Yorkshire. And with it will come heavy snow.

But it is not only the North that could suffer. London and parts of the South East could well see some wintry showers too, forecasters say.
If so it would be the second time it has snowed in the capital in less than a month. The end of October saw the earliest snowfall in London for more than 70 years.

The forecast for the middle of this week is mild, but a dramatic turn will see Friday’s temperatures plummet. They could plunge as low as 3c (37f) in parts of Scotland and the North, but with Arctic winds it will feel as though temperatures are as low as minus 5c (23f) to minus 10c (14f), according to the Met Office. And it could well be more than just a cold snap - as the sub-zero conditions are expected to last into next week.

I see that sterling is at $1.50… no, I can’t afford to make a side trip to England this year, damnit.
