The Black Stalin

November 3, 2008

Doc Russia has a fine analysis of Comrade Urkel’s campaign and rise to power.

It’s uncharacteristically long (for Doc), so get yer coffee in and sit back for an excellent read.

  1. Still sticking with 7 states, Kim?

  3. Seven states for McCain I’m afraid. EC Votes: 396 - 142.

  4. Kim, do you predict rioting along with your 7 states for Obama?  Is your SHTF gear in order and ready to deploy?  I’m thinking if Obama loses riots will break out in most...if not all of the big liberal cities as I don’t believe that his supporters will be able to handle a defeat.

  5. I don’t think that its going to be 7 states for either.  It’ll be reasonably close, though by rights it shouldn’t be.  I think that McCain will win (I just don’t think that the average person can stomach Socialism here, not yet), and the other side will, as others have mentioned, riot due to being unable to handle it/rig it/steal it (and our money and freedom).

Anyhow, sometimes I get down and think that maybe, just maybe, the pollsters have it right (or right enough) and Der Fuhrer-wannabee might win.  Such was the case after reading Doc Russia’s article.  So I posted the following, verbatim, in a comment:
    ______________________________
I post anonymously because at this point I don’t know what is going to happen in this country. Well written, BTW, Doc.

My grandfather came to this country in 1923, in his early 20’s. He ran from the Communists (long story, better told a different time), and joined his brother here - leaving 6 siblings and his parents behind. He never saw his parents and two siblings again, and only saw the rest in 1969 during a short and very well-watched (by the KGB) visit. He left because he saw no future there, and at least wanted a better life for his kids. BTW, the Communists very generously gave all of my great-grandfather’s lifetime of work (a dozen or so houses that he and his sons built by hand and rented out, plus a business with lots of horses and carts which employed roughly 50 Russians) to other, less “fortunate” people - all in the name of “social justice,” leaving he and my GGM with only the house in which they lived. I suppose that he was lucky not to be shot out of hand - but one of my father’s cousins who got out in the mid-’70s reported that their grandfather was a very, very bitter man after the Revolution. Gee, wonder why?

Needless to say, my GF had nothing kind to say about the Communists anywhere, let alone in Russia. That’s how I was raised, hearing stories about all the evil that they did. Being curious, I studied history and foreign affairs with an emphasis on the country of his birth, both in school and after graduating, and learned that the truth wasn’t as bad as he had said - it was WORSE. I suspect that he didn’t tell me everything he knew because I was only 16 when he died.

In my entire life I have never feared a major party’s candidate for President. Oh, I’ve disliked and distrusted them, to be sure (and some a LOT more than others - Carter and Clinton, specifically, but others as well) - but I always viewed them as essentially being patriots and essentially wanting to leave our system and our place in the world intact. My differences with them was on policy grounds and on issues of judgment - rather than on a fundamental question about their motives. This is most definitely NOT so with Der Fuhrer-wannabee. Nope, this guy TERRIFIES me, for many of the reasons stated in Doc’s entry. The guy is very, very dangerous, and I fear that much of the public won’t wake up until it is too late (and do I ever hope and pray that I’m wrong, that the people of this greatest of nations will wake up tomorrow).

My grandfather also said something that I will never forget as long as I live - though to my father a long time before I was born (obviously, Dad never forgot it, either). In the early ‘50s my father was a typical male teenager, boastful and full of pride in his country. He once remarked to my GF words to the effect that the USA was so powerful and rich that we’d be here “forever.” That got Grampa’s hackles up, but good. He said to my father that when he was a boy there was a huge celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty (1912). He said that at the time a person’s grandfather’s grandfather’s grandfather wouldn’t have been able to remember a time before the Romanovs ruled, and ruled with an iron fist. In other words, the Romanovs WERE forever - until 5 years later when the whole royal family got shot and dumped down a well. My GF said that NOTHING was forever, and that my father had better remember it and pass it on, because someday it might be necessary to get out of the way of the forces of history.

I will never forget, and will pass on to my kids and grandkids, how tyranny comes to a nation and what it can do. Not just the experience of my GF’s family in Russia, but also of their suffering and that of my mother’s Polish cousins and great aunts and uncles in Poland under the Nazis.

If the Obamessiah gets elected, I’m laying low, I’m becoming John Galt to the extent that I can. I’ll also be stocking up even more on certain commodities made of steel, wood, lead and copper. Unlike my GF, I have no better place to run to, no refuge from the tyranny that I see coming - so when it is necessary (IF it is, and I pray that it NEVER is), I will fight the SOBs and, if that comes to be, hopefully with a lot of like-minded people. Pity that more in Russia and in Europe didn’t or couldn’t fight the Communists and Nazis. But my liberty and that of my children isn’t free - they’ll pay a price to take it. Peacefully at first (and hopefully always, until a brighter day dawns), otherwise if necessary.

Readers of this response may have figured out that I’m Jewish. Given my family history, and that of my people, I will just say that as a human being, as an American and as a Jew, no one will take away my means of self-defense or defense of my family for free. We’re not getting on any cattle cars or going to any “re-education camps” - not so long as the sky is blue on this planet.

I don’t know about Texas seceeding, but if things get that bad, I would hope that the issue was at least given serious consideration - and that many states would join, along with most of the military. Maybe if enough do it, serious violence can be avoided and the split can be relatively peaceful. Of course, our own history (to say nothing of that of other nations) is not promising in that regard. Further, it is the people of The One’s mindset that put up walls, minefields, etc. to keep people inside their jurisidiction. Chilling, just chilling.

  6. That was an excellent article Doc wrote.

I think a lot of people will do extra work for cash, if Urkel is elected and tax rates become confiscatory at certain levels.  Offshore banking by people who can will increase.

  7. Damn fine work from the Doc. I just sent the link to everyone I know who has a functioning brain, and a couple without just to get a reaction from them.

  8. I must have really torqued someone off.  The Teleprompter Messiah, otherwise known as Urkel on this site, will be holding his final rally a couple of miles from the homestead here later this evening.  Probably a good night to stay off the roads, to avoid having to deal with the various hippies and other assorted clueless idiots in their Volvos and hybrids.

On the other hand, my phone is ringing off the hook with various campaign robocalls and “get out the vote” live calls even as I type.  All you fine folks in non-"swing" states...say a prayer for my sanity, if it’s not too much trouble.

Fine work by Doc Russia, as well.

  9. Yes, at times I wanted to go “John Galt” when Bush abandoned his Conservative principles. If Obama wins, and Democrats get a seriopus majority, the economy could go south quickly and survival may be a bigger concern. Any form of energy is going to go up, since the economy will hit a production ceiling every time it trys to recover. I don’t know about most of you, but I have already had to shift in my job somewhat because of what has already happened. I also believe a major economic downturn, (after a brief rise) from major sell offs to avoid an Obama induced bankruptcy.

So, don’t panic, just be ready for anything, both long and short term.

  10. After reading Doc’s essay my only question is: If the worst case scenario happens, should I move to Texas, or Alaska?  I’m leaning toward Alaska.  Texans are nice, but I hate hot weather, and I know more people in Alaska.

  11. 27 states for Obama at least, Kim.
Without ACORN and the MSM it would have been 7, but the combination of fraud, hiding the truth about the One, and massive propaganda will give him the election.
It will also give him a complete majority (possibly a 2/3 majority) in both houses, enabling him to gut the constitution, revoke the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and whichever other constitutional ammendments he wants.

And there will be more than enough candidates for the Thought Police and for crewing the Reeducation Camps for those who don’t believe in The One.
